Course Introduction

The rapid pace of change in today’s business environment has fundamentally altered the risk landscape faced by organizations. Digital transformation, evolving regulations, emerging technologies, and shifting business models require internal audit functions to be more responsive, flexible, and forward-looking. Traditional, rigid audit approaches often struggle to keep pace with these changes, limiting the relevance and timeliness of audit insights.

In response to these challenges, BOOST has developed the Agile Auditing course to help internal audit professionals transition from conventional audit methodologies to more adaptive and value-driven approaches. This intermediate-level program introduces the principles of agile thinking and explores how they can be applied within the internal audit context while preserving independence, objectivity, and professional standards.

The course focuses on rethinking audit planning, execution, and reporting to enable quicker risk coverage, enhanced stakeholder engagement, and continuous assurance. Participants examine how agile auditing supports dynamic risk assessment, iterative audit delivery, and closer collaboration with stakeholders—without compromising audit quality or governance expectations.

Through practical discussions, applied examples, and scenario-based learning, participants develop the mindset and skills needed to implement agile auditing practices and enhance the relevance, impact, and credibility of internal audit activities in a fast-changing environment.
