Course Introduction

Supply chain management is a critical function that connects suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, and customers to ensure that products and services are delivered efficiently, reliably, and cost-effectively. In today’s dynamic business environment, organizations rely on well-structured supply chains to maintain competitiveness, respond to market changes, manage risks, and meet customer expectations.

To support professionals developing foundational supply chain capability, BOOST has developed the Supply Chain Management course as a comprehensive introduction to the core concepts, processes, and practices that underpin effective supply chain operations. It is designed for professionals who are new to supply chain roles or who interact with supply chain activities and require a clear and practical understanding of how supply chains function as integrated systems.

The course focuses on building foundational knowledge across the end-to-end supply chain, including planning, sourcing, production, logistics, inventory, and distribution. Participants explore how supply chain decisions impact cost, service levels, quality, and organizational performance, and how coordination across functions is essential for success.

Through structured explanations, real-world examples, and guided discussions, participants develop the awareness and confidence needed to support supply chain activities, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and contribute to efficient and resilient supply chain operations.
