Course Introduction

Construction sites generate a constant flow of information—drawings, inspections, progress updates, technical queries, photographs, approvals, measurements, and field records. When this information is fragmented across paper forms, spreadsheets, messages, and disconnected systems, engineers can struggle to maintain a reliable picture of what is happening on site. Digitalization creates an opportunity to improve control, but simply introducing more applications does not automatically produce better engineering decisions.

Boost Consulting & Training has designed this course to show how digital tools can strengthen day-to-day site engineering and construction control. Participants will explore practical ways to capture field information, track physical progress, manage drawings and technical records, support inspections, document site conditions, and create reliable links between field activities and project information. The emphasis is on selecting and using digital practices according to site needs rather than focusing on any single software platform.

The main concept of this course is to create a connected digital field environment where accurate site information reaches the right people at the right time and supports faster, better-controlled construction decisions.

Course Objectives

  • Identify construction activities where digital tools can improve site engineering and control.
  • Establish reliable digital workflows for collecting and managing field information.
  • Improve access to current drawings, specifications, and technical documentation on site.
  • Apply digital methods to inspections, observations, progress verification, and field reporting.
  • Organize photographic and location-based site records for effective technical follow-up.
  • Use field data to identify deviations, constraints, and emerging construction issues.
  • Improve coordination between site teams, technical offices, consultants, and project stakeholders.
  • Develop a practical digital site-control approach suited to construction operations.
